The Team of Chris Metzger, Richard F. Etner Jr., Christopher Thomson and Matthew G. McAllister Secured Warehouse and Distribution Leases with Technical Entertainment Services and Portobello America, Inc.
POMPANO BEACH, FL, April 2, 2018 — Cushman & Wakefield has negotiated two industrial relocation leases totaling 53,832 square feet at Pompano Center of Commerce II in Broward County.
The South Florida Industrial Brokerage Team of Chris Metzger, Richard F. Etner Jr., Christopher Thomson and Matthew G. McAllister represented Pompano Industrial Venture, LLC, a joint development between Butters Construction & Development and an institutional capital partner, in securing an 18,792-square-foot lease with Technical Entertainment Services (TES) and a 35,040-square-foot lease with Portobello America, Inc.
Portobello America, Inc.
Portobello America, Inc. leased 35,040 square feet in Building 7 of Pompano Center of Commerce II, located at 1660 NW 18th Street. Tom Viscount of Butters Construction & Development represented Portobello America, Inc.
Portobello America, Inc. is a subsidiary of Portobello S.A, Brazil’s largest tile maker and distributor with more than 2,600 employees and annual revenues exceeding $300 million. Portobello is expected to relocate from its existing location on North Powerline Road in Fort Lauderdale by May 2018. It will utilize its new space at Pompano Center of Commerce II as a warehouse and distribution center.
Technical Entertainment Services (TES)
TES is a full-service entertainment company based in Pompano Beach. The company provides lighting, rigging, audio, visual, scenic and LED Wall services as well as technical support for events held in the U.S. and abroad. TES leased 18,792 square feet in Building 8 of Pompano Center of Commerce II, located at 1650 NW 18th Street. TES will utilize this space as a warehouse and distribution facility for its equipment.
TES is relocating from another Pompano Beach location, where Cushman & Wakefield helped establish the company’s first distribution center just four years ago. Since then, TES has grown its operations from ±3,000 square feet to its current footprint of ±10,000 square feet. TES is expected to relocate to Pompano Center of Commerce II in May 2018.
Pompano Center of Commerce II is a four-building warehouse and distribution campus totaling 376,644 square feet. To date, Cushman & Wakefield has pre-leased approximately 40% of the entire project.
The single-story buildings at Pompano Center of Commerce II feature 24- to 32-foot clear heights, ESFR (Early Suppression, Fast Response) fire safety systems, T-5 lighting, four dock-high doors per bay and build-to-suit opportunities.
Pompano Center of Commerce II is centrally located in South Florida’s Tri-County area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The campus provides immediate access to Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike with the Sawgrass Expressway just minutes away.
“Pompano Center of Commerce II proved to be a great fit for the rapidly growing needs of both TES and Portobello,” said Metzger. “The park’s modern amenities and central location in the South Florida market are ideal for companies which operate globally and throughout the region.”
